I didn’t have a great race in Bahrain. The anti-stall kicked in at the start and I then spun on the oil on lap two, after which I was only ever fighting for the minor positions. It was a bit frustrating, but I’ve already moved on. My next point of focus is the Spanish Grand Prix.

We have a three-week gap before Barcelona. I’m due to spend the second of these weeks at the Circuit de Catalunya, where I’m testing for two days, otherwise I have no firm plans. There’s a chance that I’ll have to do a shakedown of some new car parts this week, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

I’m flying back to the UK tonight, where I’ll then head home to Oxford. Like everyone else in F1, I’ll then carry out my usual post-race chores like washing clothes (yes, even F1 drivers have to do that!) and getting up to speed with paperwork and post.

I’ll then chill out at the start of the week and maybe go shopping in Oxford. I want to buy a digital camera to use in this blog because I think you’ll then get an even better idea of what I get up to.

The end of the week I’ll leave free for training. Once the European season gets underway, the schedule of races and tests is very intense, so it’s very important to be prepared, both mentally and physically.

See you in Spain,

Kazuki
