Renowned for his outrageous pranks, Justin shocked viewers of Silverstone TV when he kissed presented Alan Hyde on the lips following their interview. “That’s the nicest kiss I’ve ever had from a man,” said Hyde. Black clouds might be swirling overhead at Silverstone, but they aren’t dampening the spirits or the colour inside the AT&T Williams motorhome. Ginny Williams has been working flat-out behind the scenes this weekend, sprucing up the flowers by the entrance and on each of the tables – and keeping the local florists in business!
We’re celebrating a couple of anniversaries at AT&T Williams this weekend. The ‘TA100’ stickers on the sides of our FW30s reflect the 100th anniversary of the British Territorial Army, while our fuel and lubricants supplier, Petrobras, is celebrating 10 years in Formula 1 at this race, their first GP being the 1998 British Grand Prix.
Mark Webber’s superb effort in qualifying this afternoon was almost missed by his partner Ann Neal. She nipped home to Aston Clinton, just 30 minutes from Silverstone, at lunchtime to take their new puppy for a walk and returned to the track only just in time to see Mark’s P2 lap.
